Families
Meet the families that serve Seedtime and Harvest Minisitries in the field.
David and Elizabeth Tolman
David and Elizabeth Tolman lived in Guadalajara for 28 years and now make their home in the city of Tepic. Their
years in Guadalajara were very fruitful, and as a direct result
of their work, around thirty indigenous, self propagating churches
have been established. As the founders and mentors of Seedtime and
Harvest Ministries, they are now using their experience and leadership to train new leaders in the credit-certified Rios de Agua Viva Bible School,
located in Tepic. They are also involved in teaching and training within the United States. Their leadership, prayer, and intercession have been
key in the growth of the ministry.
Philip and Lucy Tolman
Philip and Lucy live on the outskirts of Tepic, sharing property with the Rios de Agua Viva Bible School. They have three children: Damara, 21, who was married in December 2006 to Agustine, a former student at the Bible school. Damara is presently studying music at the Universidad de Nayarit in Tepic. Simri, who is 19, is studying music in Australia. Vanessa is 9 and is a real joy. Their main church is in the city of Xalisco, which is a twin city with Tepic. The church is a center of activity which reaches out to 7 other towns and communities on a weekly basis. Their second area of ministry is a unity ministry to other churches in the area. Through special events, campaigns, and interchurch activities they help local pastors grow in their vision and capacity. In addition to the Bible school, they also run a Christian middle school called “Xecora”.
Stephen and Marcela Tolman
Stephen and Marcela live in the city of San Pedro, which is in north-central Mexico in the state of Coahuila. They have three children: Elisa, who is 19 and attending university; Timothy, who is 18 and in his second year of university; and
Peter, who is 15 and about to start high school. Stephen and Marcela are in charge of the pastoral
team of the Templo Cristiano Libertad in San Pedro and assist in a sister church in
the city of Torreon. They are on the board of two drug rehab centers,
one in San Pedro and the other one in Torreon. They are greatly involved
in innovative outreaches to the local community, including: soccer ministries
from ages 5 to adult, the Mexico/Canadiense English School, a performing
arts ministry, a prison ministry, and music ministry training. Many
people have come to them from Canada, the United States, and Mexico to
be mentored into ministry.
